This advanced backbend practice is working towards dropping back from Tadasana (Mountain Pose) to Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose). The drop-back from standing requires tremendous courage, control, and strength. You will learn fundamental mechanics along with tips on the transition. A good class for advancing your backbends, even if you skip the drop-back.
Vinyasa is a dynamic system of practicing asana by linking breath to continuous movement in sequence often built around sun salutations. An attentive ear and some knowledge of basic yoga postures are recommended to keep pace with the flow.
Level 3 classes provide detailed verbal instruction to train the ear so you can focus on internal workings rather than viewing posture demonstrations. These classes offer authentic teachings to fine-tune alignment, anatomy, and theory. Physical intensity level may be increased.
