Grab a blanket or blocks, and get ready to challenge yourself with hip opening postures. We will progress slowly in practice with low lunges, high lunges, and standing balancing poses while working our way towards Ashtavakrasana.
This practice will help you open up your whole back body so you can sit with better posture for an extended period. Blocks are recommended but not required, and alternate nostril breathing is used to balance the left and right hemispheres of the body to facilitate a higher equilibrium.
Give your wrist rest while you flow through poses using minimal weight bearing on the hands.
Turn on your core yogis, and prepare for and practice Headstand 1 and 2, L-shape on the wall, and Pincha Mayurasana, all yogi favorites. Patience is the key to inversions, you might not get each pose on the first try, but practice and eventually you will.
