In this aerial yin class, the hammock allows you to explore the Tiptoe Fish pose comfortably with an awareness of the front side body and feet. While this pose can be awkward or challenging, the hammock provides support for stability and transition to your expression.
Aerial employs a suspended silk hammock as a prop to enhance both new and traditional, grounded yoga postures. With body weight supported by the hammock, this practice improves flexibility, joint health and strengthens muscles and bones by working with gravity.
Level 2-3 classes assume familiarity with Yoga postures, Sanskrit terminology, and overall theory. These classes are designed to enhance your physical practice and attention to detail by incorporating challenging sequences and variations that encourage you to play with your edge.
