Kali Basman blends Buddhist Psychology with mindful-based Yin and Restorative yoga. Kali’s teaching intermingles the outer constructs of anatomy and Traditional Chinese Medicine with the inner methods of mind training and trauma healing. Her Yin yoga classes use mindfulness methods in long-held floor poses where we use the support of the ground to soften our inner gripping, lengthen the connective tissue, and surrender into the observation of the present moment. Her mix of asana with psychology for deep inquiry addresses the root causes of stagnation in the body-mind system and coaxes chi into particular healing pathways. In addition to teaching, Kali is a dedicated UN Global Health consultant, Conscious Dying Coach, and Sacred Passage Doula.
